3 Bears Educare started as an aftercare facility with a mere 10 children in 1997, using the principal's home in Mitchells Plain as the base. Not long after its establishment and motivated by the need to provide a positive, safe, clean and quality educare it developed into a full day care facility for children of various ages.

As an independent educare registered with Department of Education, academics and strong curriculum are important at our educare. The educare is also registered with the Department of Social Development. However, if every child leaves us feeling happy and loved, that’s when we know we have truly succeeded.

Philosophy:

At 3 Bears Educare we welcome each child’s unique personality. We establish foundations for learning by providing an environment that encourages play, promotes curiosity and challenges thinking. Academic skills, social and emotional development are viewed as complimentary processes. We believe children learn best when they are curious, inventive and attentive. We use play as the vehicle by which a child learns to make friends, solve problems, understand math and science and appreciate music and art. Our cheerful, fun-filled setting provides each child with a playground for learning and an enriching start to his or her education. We strive to create an environment which not only fosters independence & creates expression, but also recognises the unique talent of every child.
